Deliver healthy plants for DUS research
DUS research is faster and better when started with good quality plant material. Many vegetatively propagated plant material for DUS research must be submitted in the months of March and April (2019), with a few exceptions.

Deliver plant material promptly, completely and free of diseases/pests
It is important for a smooth completion of your application that plant material is delivered in time, completely and free of diseases and pests. If the material is not free of diseases and pests, this poses a great risk for your own application, but also for other applications and reference collections that Naktuinbouw uses for comparison. In case of acute risk, Naktuinbouw can proceed to immediate destruction of the submitted material. That is obviously something that nobody wants. If it is technically possible, you will receive an additional delivery date for new material in case of problems, but in most cases this is only one to three weeks.

The exact submission requirements are communicated by Naktuinbouw (applications for Dutch Plant Breeders' Rights and / or listing) or by the CPVO (European Plant Breeders’ Rights) per application separately to you by letter and / or email. The submission requirements can also be viewed on the websites of Naktuinbouw or the CPVO.
